Who we are

ALSO Space SRL (“we”) is a company registered in Belgium. Our registered office address is: Rue Emmanuel Van Driessche 61 – 1050 Brussels, Belgium.

We are organising the EU Ocean Data Webinar Series under a EUMETSAT contract to explain what the EU marine data services are, how to access Earth Observation marine data, how they are contributing to global ocean data initiatives and can be useful to face the UN Ocean Decade challenges.

Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data based on your consent, which you provide when you register for the webinar series.

How we use and manage your personal data

EUMETSAT is the data controller for the EU Ocean Data Webinar Series. ALSO Space SRL is the data processor, responsible for executing the contract, and we have subcontracted another company, Design&Data, to manage registration via Webex and manage the webinars, who is a sub processor.

We will collect the following personal data:

• Your name and surname
• Your email address
• Your job title (optional)
• Organisation affiliation (optional)
• Country (optional)
• We will retain your personal data for 3 months after the last EUMETSAT EU Ocean Data Webinar Series in July 2025 to finalise any communications with the participants. After this period, your data will be securely deleted from our systems.

In the context of executing the webinars, we will use the following third-party services:

• Webex as the tool for hosting webinars which will collect your name, email, and organisation for registration purposes. Webex privacy policy
• Slido as the polling tool that will be used during the webinars which may record your name should you chose to respond to audience questions and polls during the webinar. Slido privacy policy.

All third-party services used are GDPR compliant and will not transfer any data outside of the European Union.

Your personal data will not be subject to automated decision-making or profiling.

Your rights

• to withdraw your consent at any time;
• to make a subject access request for a copy of your personal data;
• to request that we correct your personal data if they are inaccurate or out of date;
• to request that we erase your personal data;
• to request that a restriction is placed on the processing of your personal data;
• to request that we provide you with a copy of your personal data that you originally supplied to us, and, where possible, transmit that data directly to another data controller;
• to object to the processing of your personal data; and
• to not be subject to automated decision-making, including profiling.
